There were so many great live performances down in Austin, Texas during last weekend for the annual South by Southwest event. So many new and independent artist took the stage, including Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton, Crren$y, Mickey Factz, 88 Keys, Blu and Exile, B.o.B. aka Bobby Ray, the whole G.O.O.D. Music crew (Kanye, Common, Kid Cudi, Consequence, Mr. Hidson, Big Sean, Fonzworth Bentley, GLC, no John Legend though), Mistah FAB, Big Boi from Outkast, Jadakiss, Bun B, plus a shit load of other indie groups that I don;t know about. But yeah, shit was poppin down in Austin last weekend. Here's just a small sample size of what went down.

April SB releases

This is the only one that matters. With the blue box heralding the death of the SB Dunk(no more fat tongues) looks like the blazer will inherit the earth. Besides the Heaven's gate looking Dunk SB high, this is the only new release to look for. Usually not a huge fan of Blazers, but these are sexy. I believe in subtlety, and this is as mellow as it gets. Word to your mother.

Big News: the uber rare Gucci colorway from the wonderful people working in the Nike SB department is set/rumored to release worldwide late 2009. Now for those who are not so sneaker-educated, the Gucci dunk was just a sample from NSB. Only 30 were ever produced, and only in a size 9(as all NSB samples are). A pair now would set you back $2500 over at Flightclub, and I don't know about you but thats pretty damn steep. News has leaked that these will in fact release to NSB accounts all over. I speculate it's due to a loss of fans, me included. NSB is probably trying to bring back all of the OG's who loved the brand back in it's hayday. Whatever the reason, NSB is doing something right among all of those horrible colorways we've been seeing

I can't get enough of this game!!!




Best. Fucking. Game. Ever.

OH MY GOD!!! 6 OVERTIMES!!!

Wow. Syracuse and UConn just played a game for the ages. If you didn't see the ending it was sort of justified, because both teams battled it out for a record 6 overtimes? This was the longest game in Big East history, and the second longest in NCAA men's basketball history, longest since 1981. Wow. 4 players for each team fouled out, leaving 3 players who did not see action during regulation playing time by necessity. Wow. Before the 6th overtime Syracuse had not led in ANY overtimes, overcoming a few 6 and 4 point leads to keep on extending the game. Johnny Flynn, the starting point guard for the Orange played 67 out of a possible 70 minutes in this game, ending up with 34 points and 11 assists. Wow. This game was thought to be over after Eric Devendorf hit what seemed to be the game winning shot at the horn, but they revued it and overturned the call. Wow. The game started at 9:36 pm Eastern time and finished at 1:22 am. But there's no rest for Syracuse, because they have to play West Virginia in the semi-finals for the Big East Tournament later today at 9:05 Eastern time. Wow. Simply incredible.

now to be honest, i HATE air max 95s, but for some reason these are just sooo dope. the blue accent on the trade mark fade down colors of the air max 95 make these a sure fuckin winner. these may very well be my very first Air Max 95 cop.

The chucka van has been an iconic piece de resistance to the whole line. their newest release is no acception. mixing subtlety with inovation, these get my vote
